Tecno displays an incredibly beautiful bezel-less concept phone. – You can’t resist the allure of bezel-less phones, regardless of how awful they are for typing and how much of an ergonomic nightmare they are. Smartphone manufacturers have been trying to minimize or do away with those black borders for more than ten years. While some, like the unsuccessful Essential and Xiaomi, just continued to cut the sides, others, like Vivo, opted for a slanted screen. Following in their footsteps, neither Apple nor Samsung have recently attempted anything particularly daring.
It appears that Tecno aims to go bezel-less without using any techniques. A brief teaser film featuring the company’s “next-gen bezelless concept phone” was just released. Remember that it’s a concept phone. IFA 2026 is our best option, but the company hasn’t stated when this phone will be formally unveiled or released. The gadget itself is simply gorgeous, and there are reports that the bezel competition will be fierce in 2027.
Without using any sloping or curving techniques, Tecno has gone edge-to-edge with the glass. However, the edges of the display seem to blend in with the device’s edges nearly perfectly, lacking any boundaries. I’ll hold off on making a decision until I’ve seen it in person, but it has to be seen how that translates into daily usability.
The gadget will be on display at IFA 2026 Showstoppers, according to Leakster IceUniverse (on X). Will it turn into a functional gadget? I’m not entirely certain. Although Tecno has a history of showcasing innovative ideas at these tech events, the majority of them never become commercially available, particularly in Western markets.
