Snapdragon X2 Elite and on-device AI are features of the HUMAIN Horizon Ultra AI PC. – At LEAP 2026, Qualcomm and HUMAIN announced the Horizon Ultra, a new AI PC with a straightforward pitch: execute more AI tasks locally rather than transferring them to a remote server.
This took more than a year to develop between Qualcomm Technologies and HUMAIN. Most people who are considering purchasing a PC should be familiar with the first generation since it runs Microsoft Windows. Additionally, HUMAIN said that its own operating system, HUMAIN OS, will be available on the same hardware line in 2027.
What drives Horizon Ultra?
The laptop is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite SoC, which has a Hexagon NPU, an Adreno GPU, and an 18-core Oryon CPU. Instead of putting all of the work on one chip, these three manage distinct workloads. With this configuration, AI models can operate locally on the device, storing sensitive data locally rather than on a server. The laptop can still connect to the cloud when a task requires more power than it can supply on its own.
This AI strategy is important because local processing allows for quicker answers and more precise control over data, particularly for tasks that shouldn’t ever leave the device. According to Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, the objective is to integrate intelligence within the device itself rather than just connecting to it.
When will it be possible to purchase one?
for September 20, 2026, Horizon Ultra running Windows will go for sale to business clients. AlFalak will handle sales and delivery. In order to give the corporation time to develop its own software layer on top of the same hardware, the HUMAIN OS version is released in 2027.
One component of HUMAIN’s broader AI initiative, which includes data centers, cloud infrastructure, models, and apps, is Horizon Ultra. The startup is attempting to bring that same stack down to a personal level, one device at a time, by packing specialized AI gear into a laptop.
