Amid royal tensions, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will unexpectedly return to the United Kingdom. – Reports state that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are returning to the United Kingdom.
Six years after leaving their top royal positions and relocating to California in 2020, the couple and their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are apparently making a comeback, according to People and The Telegraph.
According to the sites, the family is moving this month, and the children will begin attending school in the United Kingdom in September. They intend to maintain their residences in Portugal, California, and Montecito.
The announcement was made a month after Meghan, 45, and Harry, 41, brought their kids back to their grandfather, King Charles, and Queen Camilla following a four-year separation. Early in July, Buckingham Palace told the BBC that the family gathered at Highgrove House, a private country home in Gloucestershire, England, owned by Camilla and Charles.
In the midst of alleged strained ties between the Sussexes and the larger royal family during the previous six years, this was a big step. Meghan had last traveled to the United Kingdom in September 2022 for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, and the monarch had not seen his grandkids in four years before the trip.
Harry last saw his father, King Charles, in September, and he has only seen his brother, Prince William, a few times in recent years.
Before departing, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan spent almost two years living in the United Kingdom.
After getting married in May 2018 at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel, Harry and Meghan spent almost two years living in the United Kingdom while performing royal obligations.
Their first child, son Archie, who is sixth in line for the throne, was born a year later. Archie, the first African American infant born to a British monarch, was born to an American mother.
Amid a reportedly acrimonious family conflict, Harry and Meghan formally resigned from their top positions in 2020 and relocated to Montecito, California. The couple stated at the time that their goal was to “work to become financially independent.”
Lilibet “Lili” Diana, their daughter, was born in the US in 2021. She bears the names of two of the most well-known royals in Britain: Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in 2022, and his mother, Princess Diana, who perished in an automobile accident in 1997.
