Xbox Online Services has been updated. Completely Restored Following an Hour-Long Outage – According to the Xbox Status site, a number of Xbox online services have been restored following an outage that started late last evening.
Original Story, July 27, 26, 3:03 p.m.: Days after PlayStation experienced a similar problem, Xbox is currently experiencing a significant service outage. According to reports, services like starting digital games, accessing your account, and perusing the Xbox Store are impacted.
At 11:10 p.m. ET last night, July 26, the service was initially reported. According to the Xbox status website, which was last updated at 2:48 p.m. ET, Xbox is still attempting to fix these issues as of publishing.
Four The Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and backwards compatibility are all impacted. The formal descriptions of their problems are mentioned here.
Account & Profile: You might experience other issues, be disconnected when logged in, or be unable to access your Xbox profile. The majority of games, apps, and social activities that require a sign-in will not be accessible.
Store & Subscriptions: The game you’re looking for may not be available in the Store at this time.
Games & Gaming: Right now, you might be having trouble playing your digital games.
Apps & Mobile: You can encounter issues opening apps.
In order to test the outage for this story, I signed onto my Xbox account on my Series X and successfully launched a number of games, both owned and downloaded from Game Pass. However, these outages might not impact every individual or game equally. However, if you want to use your Xbox within the following few hours, it’s worth keeping a watch on this scenario.
