Weekly Gear News Insta360 Launches Drone Company, DJI Unveils 8K 360 Camera – The 360-degree camera manufacturer Insta360 has launched a spin-off brand named Antigravity, which will compete in the drone market. Although this new business has not yet released a drone, it is expected to do so in the near future and will most likely have a concept that is somewhat distinct from that of the existing industry leaders, such as DJI. Antigravity’s drone is anticipated to come equipped with 360-degree cameras that have a resolution of 8K. Compared to the X5 camera from Insta360, which captures 8K video at 30 frames per second, it is capable of capturing 8K video at a rate of 50 frames per second. Using OsmoAudio, the Osmo is able to link directly to DJI’s wireless microphones. Additionally, it keeps the Osmo Magnetic rapid-Release mechanism, which allows for rapid attachment. Even more intriguing is the fact that DJI asserts that the Osmo 360 is capable of recording 8K footage at 30 frames per second for a duration of 100 minutes, which is twenty minutes longer than the Insta360 X5. In addition to this, it weighs only 183 grams, which is 17 grams less than its most formidable rival. It is possible to capture in 4K at 120 frames per second with just a single lens, and you can swap between the front and rear lenses without having to hit the pause button.

Despite the fact that you only receive the well-known 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands, and not the 6-GHz band, you do get some of the other benefits that come with Wi-Fi 7.
These benefits include increased security, decreased latency, and multi-link operation (MLO), which allows you to connect on both bands at the same time.
