During the night, waves of the tsunami also made its way to Hawaii, where an evacuation order was withdrawn when a tsunami warning was modified to an advisory. Additionally, waves of the tsunami reached Alaska, Washington, California, and the West Coast.According to the National Weather Service, there were waves that reached heights of up to 3.6 feet in Crescent City, which is situated close to the border between Oregon and California and is approximately 356 miles northwest of San Francisco.
